Server was friendly BUT service slow. She was the only waitress working 7 tables at 0900 on a Friday morning! Food was good, nothing special. Banana Griddle Cakes were over cooked on one side and the eggs that arrived for those asking for scrambled it was obvious they had sat awhile. This is our second visit to a Mimi's Cafe in two different states and both times we received slow service

I have been here when I was the only one in the restaurant and when the line was out the door. Each time is the same. Terrible service, long wait times, and mediocre food. Honestly, if they had a competent manager or servers that had any sort of work ethic, this place wouldn't be bad. The food is comparable to an IHOP or Perkins. The service reminds me of the post office: incompetent and apathetic. Overall disappointing.

Quality of food is excellent. Very reasonable prices. Nice ambiance. Simple take out.

I usually don't come here very often but in the past few months I've been here several times and have noticed that although the food is decent; the staff is horrible managed. There's always slow service and the servers seem disengaged. This place could be a lot better with a wait staff that's managed differently.

My food was good, server was nice. The mimosa was wonderful and I like that I got to have the whole mini-bottle, rather than just a tiny spritz of champagne. I've been several times and am always satisfied with service

I went to Mimi's for a breakfast birthday celebration today. Now the service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and the food came out pretty fast. The issue however was the food. It was just terrible. I got the avocado omelette. It had no flavor, was over cooked and was only luke warm. The potatoes had no seasoning on them whatsoever. My husband got the lemon poppyseed pancakes and they were just ok. I definitely did not think they were worth the calories so after two bites I was done with them. He stomached the eggs that came with them but said they were pretty tasteless too. Now Mimi's makes a tasty muffin and my little boy seemed to be happy with his blueberry muffin. The management did apologize for our food and give us some free muffins , but I still don't think we will be returning. The pleasant service doesn't make up for such subpar food.

My experience here was not as satisfying as the ones I had at the locations in Tulsa and OKC. Service was kinda slow for a not so busy Tuesday morning. I had the Avocado BLT Omelet which I found to be a little overcooked (I like my eggs yellow, not brown). The red potatoes were delicious as was the coffee and orange juice.

Food was great, deducting a star for the service. I ordered the Slow-Smoked Ham Croissant Benedict, and was served the Croissant Egg & Bacon Sandwich. When I told the waitress I was served the wrong meal, she said "oh we don't have a benedict on a croissant". So I asked for the menu and pointed it out to her. She apologized and offered to replace it, but I just asked for a side of hollandaise and the potatoes that I ordered and made do. She volunteered that the manager was giving me the meal for half-price, which I thought was a nice gesture. Then when I pulled out a coupon from their email club for 4 free muffins, she commented "I'm not sure you can combine promotions, let me check". I thought to myself "combine promotions?!? The "promotion" you gave me was because you served up the order". Thankfully, she didn't have a problem fulfilling the "extra" promotion! LOL I would certainly go back to Mimi's as I've loved all the meals I've had there, but judging from other reviews of this location, it sounds like my experience with the service is pretty standard!

What's that I hear? Could it be the sound of the West Little Rock Mimi's hitting rock bottom? It's possible that we were invisible when we walked into the establishment today and four employees milling around refused to make eye contact with us. Eventually the host attempted to seat us but got confused and had us stand in the middle of the restaurant since he didn't understand the numbering and was about to seat us at a table that was already occupied. Once we were finally seated we had ample time to memorize the menu since no one ever came to our table. We walked out after fifteen minutes of a surreal experience. I'm sure the food is decent - things should improve once they replace the humans that work there with robots.

After being served a chicken pot pie with raw chicken that the manager refused to refund my money on, "because I had taken a bite already" (I broke through the crust, ate a bite and saw the chicken was raw, I did not eat any more than that), I will never return to the place. Service was horrible, table wasn't clean. Two people in our party were served glasses with stuff crusted on them. Server changed out glasses when specifically asked, but when shown dirty glasses did not offer. It's not worth it to go here.

Bland food, to the point of bread products being stale.... Lackadaisical service, at best..... Sticky table & food under.... Really wanted to love it, especially because of location. Sad.

We like to go here for late breakfast on Sundays occasionally, sit at the bar, have breakfast, and enjoy a mimosa or a bloody Mary. We've met some nice people and have some interesting conversations this way. If you join Mimi's club, they will send out two-fer coupons and other special offers. The muffins are wonderful, hot, and fattening - just the way they ought ta be.

Mimi's used to be better. The muffins are the best, especially blueberry.

Casual, friendly dining experience with a faux French menu (aside from the tuna nicoise salade and the French onion soup), though tasty cuisine and great service. A little pricey for what it was, but not bad. I got a salmon and spinach salade, which was nice and light, not too heavy on the dressing (though I got it sans bacon). Slow to come out due to a kitchen mishap but didn't mind and they offered me a free soup while waiting (less than 5 minutes) or a free dessert, which was very nice. Plenty of attention from the service. Had some fantastic bread for the table too. Simple baguettes, and more interestingly, a very moist dark carrot and raisin bread. Wouldn't go out of my way to return but wouldn't mind.

One thing I loved about this place was their WEBSITE! It has nutrition facts for almost every single thing you can think of on their menu... and that's saying something because their menu is MASSIVE. They have three menus- each for bfast, lunch, and dinner. Each menu has a section of probably 5-8 "healthy" items... which is also a plus for those of you watching your diet. After being indecisive for three hours (not really) I settled on their Five Alarm Santa Fe Egg White Omelette and an extra pancake. The pancake was fluffy, sweet, and incredible. YAY! The omelette was pretty good.. I wanted something light and it had good flavor. My boyfriend got something off their promotional menu. I think it was a ham and broccoli frittata with sausage. It was incredible whatever it was. Although it was very very busy Jacob (our waiter) managed to check on us and refill our coffee several times! The host at the front was super duper friendly. I really loved this place and felt very taken care of.

Meal was great, but as usual in this retaurant, the wait staff and management were not attentive. Read the numerous reviews below. We had to ask for water, ask for refills on coffee, and our check was dropped BEFORE plates were cleared. That alone should be grounds for no tip!

Bloody Mary flight?! Are you kidding me?! I wanted...no wait, I NEEDED a Bloody Mary on New Year's Day. Who didn't?! And, Mimi's has three that all sounded delicious! I could not decide....until the server gave me the greatest idea-- order the Bloody Mary flight! So much salty, spicy, vegetal goodness!! Yummy! As for Mimi's food, I have always been a fan. I LOVE the carrot raisin bread and the carrot raisin muffin! The salads are also delightful. I usually choose the blue cheese/cranberry or the salmon....AND the salads come with a muffin! That's just great!

Well the whole experience was bad. Waitress was inattentive. Most of the tables where dirty from lunch. It was 2:00pm the only reason we were served bread finally was the waiter beside us brought some to his table which reminded her. I ordered chicken parmesan the chicken was dry to the point it sounded like a hand saw to cut it and the noodles were like rubber bands. I have had better chicken from the frozen food isle out of a microwave.

As long as you're prepared for inconsistent service, this is a nice place for classier breakfast anytime or a good entree or salad with a glass of wine. The muffins are excellent, as are the quiche offerings. Elevated breakfast offerings anytime is a good thing! The French and Cajun themed rooms are a nice style,, not taking itself too seriously but providing good ambiance. Service is the biggest issue at Mimi's. Servers regularly have issues with attentiveness, proper timing and spacing of dishes, and knowing enough about the menu. So be prepared to take charge of your experience while dining. Mimi's has an online loyalty club, so the savings can make up for the waitstaff quality issues for some people.

This restaurant continues to have a large variety of food that tastes delicious and freshly prepared. I've visited three times over the last year, and each time I've had issues with the service and cleanliness of the restaurant. During my most recent visit, the soups we ordered arrived AFTER our entrees without comment, as if this was something normal. My salad dressing arrived a few minutes after my salad, without the blueberry muffin that came with it. The salad plate looked clean, but the underside felt crusty. The waiter never checked on us until he came by to ask us about dessert, and then we had to wait for a long time before dessert came out. The visit before that, the salt and pepper shakers had dried food all over the tops of them. When I asked for another set, the server brought another pair of dirty shakers to our table. Folks, I am not a clean freak, so if it gets my attention, then trust me, it's bad.

Mimi's Cafe has been acquired by Bob Evans, the chain of "country cooking" restaurants plastered all over the Midwest. Just thank your lucky stars they haven't introduced their God awful biscuits and gravy at any of the Mimi's restaurants. I guess they know better than to try and bring that Yankeefied "Southern food" down here. So, it used to be that Mimi's served New Orleans-style cuisine but I guess ol' Bob was a fan of "New Orleans-style decor" rather than New Orleans-style food because a recent menu change makes them a firmly traditional American-food restaurant. There are a few New Orleans-inspired dishes still on the menu but if you want New Orleans food from a chain restaurant then you're better off going to Copeland's at Shackleford Crossing. Once you get past the creeper host at the door (the guy is a grade A weirdo) then Mimi's is actually quite nice, cozy, warm. My family has been for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and breakfast is the very clear winner. Food at lunch and dinner is competently prepared but the breakfast items are nicer takes on traditional breakfast food and definitely worth trying out. The Quiche Lorraine is a good choice for breakfast, and good dinner choices would be the chicken pot pie and the chicken cordon bleu. Despite the seemingly high turnover in servers, we've never had a bad serving experience at Mimi's, and probably at least some of that credit should go to good management!

I have been to mimi's a few times and the breakfast food is the best. Last time I was there I had the French toast platter with bacon and hashbrowns. I cleaned the plate. I always get a muffin when I go. The blueberry is my favorite.

I visited this restaurant on Sunday 8/3/08 for lunch. Despite being busy, we were seated quickly and the service was also timely. The Chicken Piccata with Asparagus was excellent. Portion size was good and more than sufficient to satisfy my fairly heavy appetite. Ambiance was really neat; I sat in the French Quarter themed dining area. My guest had a grilled chicken pesto sandwich which was also a sizeable portion. The mimosa wasn't the best I've had but virtually every other aspect of the meal met and exceeded my expectations.
